Chris Murphy Announces Endorsement from the Connecticut Carpenters Union

HARTFORD — Carpenter’s Local 326, which represents approximately 4,000 union carpenters across Connecticut, is proud to endorse Chris Murphy for re-election to the U.S. Senate. Murphy has been a friend of Connecticut carpenters for more than 20 years. From the General Assembly to the U.S. Senate, Murphy has fought time and again for issues that matter to union carpenters. He has always been a strong supporter of prevailing wages, worked tirelessly to improve health care for members and their families, and voted for funding for projects that create good jobs for union members.

“Connecticut union carpenters are blessed to have such a hardworking and effective Senator representing us in Washington, DC, and we enthusiastically support his re-election to another term,” said Bruce Lydem, President of Carpenter’s Local 326, affiliated with the New England Regional Council of Carpenters.

“I’m proud to receive the endorsement from the hardworking men and women of Carpenter’s Local 326” said Murphy. “Union members power our economy, and the feedback I’ve received from them has driven my work each and every day in Congress fighting for good-paying jobs and access to a quality, affordable health care system.”
